FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I use GF 226 on other surfaces?
GF 226 is designed for wall murals, decals and graphics to most types of smooth painted interior walls. This includes most flat, semi-gloss and gloss paint finishes. The surface must be smooth and clean prior to application. If applying to new paint consult the paint manufacturer for proper drying conditions before GF 226 application.
What if I leave GF 226 WallMark® on past its optimal removability time frame?
The adhesive on this product will build for a few days and then it will reach it’s optimal bond. It will not get more aggressive over time because of the low-tack adhesive technology, but could leave residue beyond the one year removability specification.
Can this product be used on Elevators?
These types of doors may have a clear coat or other type of protection. This product is not designed for coated/sealed/treated stainless steel, brass or bronze surfaces. It is best to contact the facility manager and determine the best product for this application.
When paneling larger jobs, do I use overlaps or butt-seams with this product?
Either is acceptable, although butt-seams require a high degree of skill to line up the panels. In most cases an overlap will work best and that amount varies depending upon the size of your graphic. Smaller decals may only require 1/4”-1/2” overap, while larger will most likely require 1” or more.
