FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What types of transfer tape should I use with the GF 500 Series?
In most instances a medium tack application tape should work, such as Transferite® 6582. For multiple color alignments, we would recommend using a frosted matte tape such as Transferite® 1510 or a clear tape such as Transferite® Ultra® 1310 Clear.
Can I use GF 500 Series Gloss Calendered Vinyl on vehicles?
GF 500 Series has a permanent emulstion acrylic adhesive and can be used in flat-surface short-term vehicle applications. Typically a cast or high-performance colored solvent adhesive vinyl will be used for long-term vehicle graphics.
What is the expected exterior lifetime of these products?
Different films and pigments will fade at different rates, but what our lab and extended life testing reveals is that there will be minimal color fade for up to 5 years under normal exposure conditions. GF 503 Transparent and GF 504 Matte Clear are up to 6 months under normal exposure conditions.
I used some GF 512 Victorian Blue to apply cut letters to wine glasses; are the Cut & Craft products dishwasher safe?
It is recommended that dishware with decals be hand washed with mild soap and water. The vinyl and adhesive can be impacted by high heat and extended exposure to water and cleaners. However, the adhesive and vinyl have excellent resistance to humidity.
